Whatever the outcome, Bron Breakker needs to come out strong from his callout of WWE World champion Seth Rollins. Having a match between the longest reigning NXT champion Bron Breakker and the original NXT champion Seth Rollins only makes sense on an NXT event. Having a WWE World title match on NXT territory is only going to bring more exposure to the NXT brand.

On top of giving Bron Breakker a rub and NXT some exposure, Seth Rollins has a lot to benefit from the matchup considering Bron Breakker’s hot heel run at the moment. Both show great charisma on the mic and can operate as both heels and baby face’s very well. Bron is a great additional opponent for Seth Rollins's current title reign and there are a lot of directions the WWE creative can bring this feud.

So when should this event happen? The answer is NXT’s Great American Bash.

With it being close to 2 months away, it can allow the storyline to grow more naturally and organically, and having Seth Rollin’s, the great superstar that he is, defend his world title on an NXT network special can create more exposure to NXT’s brand than ever before. It should be highly considered over the other option of having it on a regular NXT small studio episode at Full Sail University.

Whether or not Bron wins or loses, it would be a great way for Bron to exit from the NXT brand into the main roster as a major superstar, all depending on how they book the match, its build-up and it’s post-match follow-up story. They could even then lead to a follow-up rematch at Summer Slam.

If they decide to have the match on an earlier episode of NXT, it will require a more rushed build-up. They could then capitalize on a rematch, as either an opening or main event at Money in the Bank. While PPV exposure is better than no exposure, this could end up making Bron’s debut more lackluster and lost in the shuffle of the competitive landscape of the main roster as well as the Money in the Bank match.

No matter what date or event they decide to have the match, one has to ask what the long-term plans are for this feud and match.

Is it in WWE’s plans to build a long-running feud between Seth and Bron and then potentially lead to a major title match at the Summer Slam? Or is this just to take a break from Seth’s feud with Judgement Day and Bron’s feud with Carmelo Hayes and to keep Bron Breakker in NXT for that bit longer to capitalize on his heel run? Whatever way they go about this, there are big plans for Bron down the road and Seth will continue to prosper.
